I want to upgrade the memory on my desktop. I already know the type of memory I need, but i need to know if the Asus A8AE AmberineM motherboard accepts high density ram or only low density. Any help is appreciated.

Your best bet is to look for this motherboard's QVL (Qualified Vendor List). Details on what kind of RAM is compatible are contained in this document. Google for "[motherboard name] QVL".

ASUS has it right on there site under downloads

well, another thing is, what motherboard is this, use cpuz and tell us what the main board is (i can't the A8AE on their site)
