I have recently built my first computer and have still got a spare PCI slot running at x1 speed. I thought of getting another of the same graphics card ( 9600GT.) But my friend said i wouldn't benifit me doing that.
Just wondering what you thought.

Thanks

It can be used for add on cards (sound cards, SATA/IDE controller cards, RAID cards...). You can't add another video card for SLI in that slot. That would have to be done in a second PCIE slot, if you board even allows it.

Usually not worth it. It all depends on the quality of the onboard sound you already have.
