Hello everyone! I was wondering if any one has a link or help-me file on CPU overclocking.

I have a foxconn a78ax mb with an AMD phenomx4 9750 with a 9700 zal fan. Ram is some kingston 2x2gb with some large heatsinks. Here is what i do to OC...central control unit in the bios and go to "fox inteligent stepping". I then go to CPU clock adjust and I can only seem to get my CPU up to 2.43 ghz. If i go over that ill get random blue screens. Im pretty sure its somthing im not adjusting but im realy not sure. I know how to adjust things like my memory speed ect... but im not too sure about the timing 5-5-ect.... Any advice or info would be VERY appreciated! :hello:

could be voltages or RAM timings. relax your timings by 1-1-1-3 and see how that does you
If you up the voltages anywhere, be sure to watch temperatures.

The first phenom's weren't great OCers though...

The ram timing section of my bios is very confusing. it says "cas latency 4clk, RAS/CAS delay 7clk, row precharge time 7clk, min active RAS 12 clk, RAS/RAS delay 2 clk, row cycle 17 clk. Does that mean im in 4-7-7-17 timing? There are a ton of options for changing them but im not sure what to change. they should be 5-5-5-18 according to the box. options are- cas latency,RAS-CAS delay, precharge command peroid, internal read to precharge command delay, active-to-active/auto-refresh command peroid, write recovery,active-to-active of a different bank, internalwrite to read command delay, read to right turnaround for data, DQS contention, read to write timing, read to read timing, auto refresh-to-active/auto refresh command prompt. (just put in 1066 ram 2 weeks agao from 800 and was getting blue screens when i put the 1066 set in. Fixed that by lowering the overclock from 2.53 to 2.46. My cpu voltage is set at +25mV 12v defalt and memory voltage is at +50mV.) Not realy looking to get to 3ghz I just need the 2 core apps i have on here not lag so badly with cpu AI. 2.4 ghz isnt what it used to be sadly

ok I tried to change them according to the specs of my ram. I only changed the tCAS-tRCD-tRP-tRAS settings and left the others on auto. However some how my computer wouldent boot after i set them untill the 6th try and it for some reason set the tCAS setting to 6 rather than 5-5-5-15 so tomarow im going to try setting the tCAS to 4 and see if it still says 6-5-5-15. Do i need to do any voltage increases? these are supposed to run at 2.2 v but my mb only show me +50mV settings. It doesnt show me what they are defalt.
