I'm considering a nettop build (will ask on the New Build thread once I have something clear in mind), but I was wondering: Is the Atom a good replacement for the Celeron? The Atom seems cheaper than the Celeron, but can it do the normal desktop stuff? (Surfing and documents)

I personally would go with the celeron. It is still quite power frugal, but is far more capable. Would you be doing anything besides surfing and officey things? ie. watching tv/dvd/Bluray?

Thanks man. No, I don't think so. This will be a very simple setup for my mom :)
