First Build- Overclocking help

Hey guys, I just put together my first build today and I was wondering if anyone can help me with overclocking both my GPU and CPU. Like I said before, this is my first build, so I'm wandering into unknown territory when it comes to overclocking. Here are my specs:

GPU:

EVGA 015-P3-1482-AR GeForce GTX 480 (Fermi) SuperClocked 1536MB 384-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

CPU:
AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition Thuban 3.2GHz 6 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 125W Six-Core Desktop Processor

MOBO:
ASUS M4N98TD EVO AM3 NVIDIA nForce 980a SLI ATX AMD Motherboard

OS: WIN 7

RAM:
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1066 (PC3 8500)

EDIT: By the way I also have an Antec 902 gaming case and a Hyper 212+ that replaced the stock CPU cooler

Get used to your system for a week or so first,
to let you iron out any bugs that are already there before you try to overclock.
but theres plenty of guides on here for overclocking when you do want/need to
