My AMD Athlon 64 X2 Brisbane CPU is running at 2.61GHZ instead of the stock rated 2.7GHZ. It is the BH-G2 revision. I just found out that the latest Dell c521 BIOS was 1.1.11, and I was running 1.1.10. I did a clean install, updated all drivers and upgraded the BIOS. Still it shows wrong clock speed. Should I exchange this for another? I understand that .1GHZ is not a huge difference, but I want to figure this out

The problem is the multiplier is only 13, when it should be 13.5 Probably that motherboards doesn't support 0.5 steps. Did that cpu come with the computer, or did you add it later?

I added it on later, the stock one was a 1.8GHZ Sepron Manila. So if I upgrade to the AMD Atlhon 5400+ (2.8ghz) then it'll recognize it probably?
