What PSU brand is that? 500w would be enough, but Amperage is more important than wattage when it comes to PSU's. You want something that has >30A on the 12v rail.

I forsee a possible issue with the PSU, but since you have not specified which 600w psu you are using, I can't say. Best brands for PSU's are corsair, PC P&C, seasonic, antec, silverstone, and thermaltake. I wouldn't recommend any other brands of PSU's with a few exceptions. Most bundled PSU's that come with budget cases are garbage and when they fail (and fail they likely will), they can take your entire computer with them.

So should I just assume my psu that comes with the case is garbage and order a another one? When you say when it fails it can take the whole computer with it you mean fry other hardware?

Yes it can fry your other components, that PSU/case you linked from ebay is likely a very poor PSU.

Haven't heard anything good about it, but then again haven't heard anything bad about it either. It has good reviews on newegg. Personally, I would just go with the tried and true brands. Corsair 550vx would be a good match for your system, or even the Antec Earthwatts 430w. But I would want to have a little more headroom than the Antec provides. If you wanted to get more, then look at the Antec EA650 650w PSU or PC Power & Cooling S61EPS 610W

I think I'm going to just get that Corsair 550vx. Newegg has a good deal on it and a nice mail in rebate. Thanks for your help I would have went ahead and used that generic psu and ran into a **** storm down the road.

The latest build looks a lot better than where you started, especially regarding that PSU.
Depending on your budget, workspace area, and future upgrade plans, a 4870 may be a little more than a 1440x900 monitor needs, so you can either increase the monitor to one that displays 1680x1050 (typically 22"), or you can drop the video card back to a 4850 or 4830.

I would keep the card personally, I play on a 19" and my GTX 260 is about right when I'm playing at full details, every once in a while my games get kinda slow, but are still playable. Most of the time my framerates are great but every now and then it can get a little jumpy.
