SSD benchmarking tools?

Anyone know any quality/free benchmarking tools for testing SSDs. I'm not too sure if mine is set up correctly :(

Also would be a plus if the benchmarking tool could test normal HDs too.

Thanks

  1. They're only trials, and Crystal Disk isn't compatible with win 7 :(
  2. I've used crystialDisk mark on laptop and desktop, both with Win 7 on them.
Added - It is listed as a download for windows 7

HD tune PRO ver 4 is a trial ver, yes but works for a initial checkout. There is a non-Pro ver that is a free version. It is ver 2.x and works under upto vista (Do not know if it is 32 bit/64 bit or works on both). Generally if the software works under vista, it will also work under Win 7.

  4. Mr_fruitbowl - Note I edited my post to include a link for Xtal from a windows7download site.
  5. Here is a new one:
    http://ssd.userbenchmark.com/Software
it's free and presents the results online, so you can see everyone else's scores.

They have results from thousands of user runs here:
