Installing windows, error message on every other file!

When installing windows, it will not install all Files! error messages.?
Installing windows XP SP3 on a machine and it does not install all the files, every other file when being installed has an Error message saying it cannot be installed, it gives me options to Retry, Skip or quit. i cannot TONS of files are not being installed. i have a bran new hard drive also, the old one worked fine to. So its not a corrupt HDD, any other ideas? The disk is CLEAN.

have you formatted it? if you say this drive is new there's a chance that thing is borked

Yeah i have :/ formatted and rdy.... same promblem.... maybe a fried MB?
