1394 network adapter download

Hello, I just got a used desktop and when first useing it I could not get on the internet. I have gone over and found theat the 1394 network adapter is not downloaded, neither is any other network adapter. Could someone please help thanks. I am going to get windows 7 in the future.

1394 network adapter is for Firewire connections.

the network card drivers are most likely available on the motherboard manufacturer website
