ATI graphics problems

Hello I have been having this problem with my graphic card so I thought maybe someone here can help. Below are the details.
OS: Microsoft Windows Professional
Graphic card: ATI Radeon HD2600
PC specs: 300gb hard drive, 2gb RAM

During gameplay of some games my resolution changes to lower and some time later the game completely shuts down, showing the error. Then I have to restart the computer because it's slowed down.
I don't know all other specifications or settings.
Anyone help?
