hey guys, currently i am using a geforce 6100 motherboard which uses a ddr2 slot. My question is if i bought a ddr3 graphic card like the gefore 9500,9800,285 etc would it function on the ddr2 slot?

i really dont have the money to buy a better desktop :( ...

System RAM and the memory installed on a video card are totally seperate, as long as your MB has a PCI-E slot for the video card, all will be well.

GPU are installed on PCIE slot. And RAM are on seperate RAM slots. Both are different.

so if i just have a PCI-E slot on my gpu i can use watever graphic card that is compatible with PCI-E slot is it correct? no matter how new and advance it is right?
