I've had this motherboard for about 3 months (got it late march). I've noticed that I always have a low mic volume. I go into my sound settings and the mic and input are as high as they go. Even on X-fire, Ventrillo, Skype, and anything else which has a voice chat option, the mic Audio is very very low. I'm not sure what to do. I've checked and I believe I have the most up to date audio drivers for this Mobo. And if Flashing the mobo is required, I am A bit hesitant about it.

To sum up this question: Why is my mic so low in voice chat? I've used at least 2 different types of mics/headsets. I have also checked my settings and both Mic and Input levels are at max. I usually use the mic for gaming so it is a bit frustrating when my teammates can't hear me.

If you are using onboard and the front panel, do you have the AC97 or the other header connected?
