After reading this great review from digital versus: LG Flatron W2261V I'm considering getting this monitor over the Samsung T220, which also has rave reviews.

This LG monitor is fairly new and isn't even available on my commonly used sites like Ebuyer, Dabs, and Microdirect. However, it is available from Dixons/Currys, Microwarehouse, and Kikatec for around £160. The T220 can be found for around the same price.

On the bottom of the review it says...

No miracle for films. With no graphics correction chip, there is a lot of flickering. Good responsiveness and contrast mean you can limit this effect but it remains visible. It is also a TN screen and that means a reduced angle of vision. Only the VA or IPS are not affected and they’re much more expensive.

Which puts me off the LG monitor.

Has anyone got/had experience with the two monitors they would like to share? :)

Cheers

Gary

I am a hardcore gamer!I have the W2261V and it is amazing!!but with only one disadvantage!if it is connected by hdmi and your switch off the monitor and then switch it on back the display will be HDMI POWER SAVING MODE!there are two solutions one do not turn the monitor off while PC is on and the other connect it through DVI:)same resolution of hdmi!
it is a very very very good monitor:) I love it
