Bought a MB off ebay. It does not have a part number on the board. All it says is SOYO. I found this number. P4SX-2BA4. I need to find drivers for the on-board sound. It came with a P4 2.4 gig cpu, and set up fine with XP. I try to go to the Soyo website, and IE says it has a problem and has to close. The web site doesn't work. Does anyone know what sound chip is on this board? Thanks, gtoguy3. And, years ago, I never did get my 90.00 rebate from Soyo for buying a combo deal they had on Tiger Direct.
If you didn't get the manual, could you try to locate the sound chip on the motherboard? You could also check the details of the sound chip in Device Manager. Hopefully you'll see info similar to HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_11D4&DEV_989B&SUBSYS_10438311. That should help you locate the manufacturer and the audio chip.
