DVD player/ CD Burner missing

Hello,
My HP Pavilion dv6810us Laptop has suddenly lost communication with its DVD/ CD Player/Burner. Drive "E" no longer appears with other hard disc drives. I don't know what I did to get so lost but Ineed help recovering from this disaster.

First, delete the upper and lower filters.
