[Europe] Thin case with space for PCI card? Tags: Power Supplies Cases PCI Motherboards Components Last response: June 1, 2009 2:17 AM in Components Share gganault May 11, 2009 4:33:39 PM Hello, I'd like to build a compact PC with a mini-ITX motherboard and with enough space to have a regular size PCI card laid down at a 90° angle with a riser. I like the type of cases used by IBM for their retired Netvista 2800, or those sold by Soekris with their motherboard. Does someone know where I can find this type of case in Europe preferably under 50€ shipping included? Thank you. Maybe we can look through both together. I only know of the ones listed here: http://www.grokdotcom.com/2008/02/06/top-uk-online-reta... gganault May 14, 2009 12:22:16 PM Thanks for the link. Alternatively, would it be a crazy idea to find some flexible ribbon to stick a PCI card underneath the mobo so as to get a thin, compact box while still leaving enough room for the CPU fan? http://img136.imageshack.us/img136/2152/dreamminiitxbox... I'll read up on flexible PCI risers to check that there aren't limitations, especially with the telephony card I intend to use. r_manic a b V Motherboard May 25, 2009 3:13:32 AM I'm also wondering how effective these risers are for more powerful graphics cards... let us know what you find? gganault May 25, 2009 4:30:00 PM Will do. In the mean time, I have to find a case that will hold a mini-ITX mobo and a PCI card underneath it.
