My desktop PC, Gateway GT 5668E, came installed with 3 Gb. of 240 pin DIMM DDR2 PC2-5300. The motherboard does support DDR2 800 MHz of SDRAM. I want to try 800 MHz, but Newegg doesn't have a category for DDR2 800 MHz PC2-5300, only DDR2 800 MHz PC2-6400. Well my motherboard take DDR2 800 MHz PC2-6400?

DDR2 533 is PC2 5300 and DDR2 800 is PC2 6400,we don't have anything called DDR2 800 PC2 5300,since your motherboard supports DDR2 800 then u can buy a DDR2 800 RAM

Latency is the timings of your RAMs and lower timings are better, but timings/MHZ doesn't make a a lot of difference in performance, they are mainly important if u want to OverClock.
