I have one ordered. The 8-pin location is near the back panel connectors and shouldn't be a problem. The compromise with this board is 2XSLI as opposed to 3XSLI. But I never planned on any more than 2X. If the spirit ever moved me, I would buy two 2xGPU cards and go 4XSLI.
