Thermaltake frio ram slots

Hi, i would like to purchase the thermaltake frio heatsinc, but am not sure whether it will take up my ram slots.

this my motherboard:
GIGABYTE® X58A-UD3R: X58 & ICH10 Chipset

i want to know if it will take up some of my ram slots, if it will, idk whether its worth it.

i will be running a Intel core i7 ov to 4ghz...

my other buying choices:
Zalman CNPS10X Performa
Corsair Hydro H50
Thermaltake SpinQ VT.

Thanks Very much for your help. :o

More about thermaltake frio slots
  1. Get the H50, go push pull with new radiator fans, you'll be plenty happy, and should be able to hit 4.0 and have decent temps.

Get Gentle Typhoon 1850 fans. You'll have to reverse your other intake case cooling fans to exhaust, many do it.
  2. Hi newcomer and welcome to the Tom's hardware forum.

Wait for the H70 that performs much better that the H50.

More important is the height of your ram and how many dimms are utilized.
The SpinQ VT is not a good cooler the fan is not replaceable and it disrupts interior airflow.
Also what case do you have?
The Frio is taller then most tower coolers over 160mm.Its base height is very short 28mm and dimm intrusion is average about 10mm.
The average stock ram module without heatsinks is 33mm tall.
  4. I have a decent gaming case, a aerocool bx500
    plenty airflow

do u guys know when the h70 is coming out?

i am putting the final components such as the processor and g card in bout 3 weeks, and would like to now if it will be out then, also what will the price be compared to the H50?

so the spinq vt is out, the frio is too big, and watercooling is good, it was between the frio and h50 in the first place, so ill go watercooling. thanks guys, any more help is appreciated.
  5. You can see the corsair H70 here available for $109.99 in the egg.
