Hard drives keep crashing

We have recently had 6+ hard drives crash, some of them were in a pc, some in a laptop, some usb external hard drives and some power supply external hard drives. We have no idea why they keep crasking and are becoming very frustrated as it is affecting our business. We operate a digital art company so the files we create and store can be up to 350mb per file. Do you think it is the sheer size of the files that is causing these drives to crash? Also are there any alternate storage solutions that we can use for back up other than external hard drives? we require approx 3tb storage in total.

  1. Are these computers on a battery backup or line conditioner? It sounds like your building is having power problems. Brownouts (power sags) can be just as destructive as blackouts or power spikes.
