Media Quality

I have been playing MPEG files on my ipaq using Pockettv and they were great,
similarly the pictures were great through DAVA. However, I recently had to do
a reset (using the little button at the bottom) and now the quality is
terrible. Any suggestions as to what I may have done wrong or what I may need
to do the make it better again. The device is a HP 3850 running Pocket PC
v3.0.11171

Three armed reset ????

Well - two complete resets later with strange positions to try and get all
the buttons and things at once - still no better. The device is an HP3850 on
V1.15. Are there any service packs or updates I should have applied

By poor quality i mean both stills and video. Prior to the problem each
picture looked great. Now it's as though there is insufficient colour depth.
The are blotches of yellows for example - imagine a really old PC when you
looked at photos and the edges of faces went from skin tone to a bright
purple colour
