I have a Samsung T220 with a NVIDIA 9600 vidoe card; periodically the monitor blinks/shuts off and restarts and does this for about 3-4 times, I do not know why, I initially thought it was the card, but I connected an ACER 2216W monitor and it works without any problems. I presently have the T220 connected to another computer but it is connected via the VGA not DVI since the other computer does not have a DVI connection.
I had the same problem with a T240 model took it back to the store and got a new monitor that had the same problem. so i ended up bringing that back and just getting a totaly different samsung 22 ince monitor.

I have a T240 getting powered by 7800GTx SLI by DVI and never had such a problem. If you filled out the warrenty on the Samsung site that would definitly be covered.
i have a T220 4850 and 8600gt. never had problems also! but i've heard rumours about vista and no driver suport for those screens. i've seen an update on my system that downloaded software for the T220. but before that it didn't even act strange!
i also have a T240 and haven't had any problems. but my old dell SP2008WFP would do that so frequently that i couldn't stand using it anymore. it only happened when i used the DVI input though.

Hi, i had the same problem with the peridically shutoffs, and i got the solution.
The problem was a graphic Card, and this problem was only when the monitor was connected on the DVI connector.
I firs had a VGA INNO3D 9500GT 512MB DDR2. I test the monitor on another computer with a VGA INNO3D 8600GT 256MB DDR3,
and all was working fine. Then i replace my INNO3D graphic Card with the same one, only from Galaxy (Galaxy 9500GT 512MB DDR2),
installed the latest drivers from NVIDIA, and everithing works!!!
So, for everyone who had the same problem, i suggest first to try to install the latest driver from NVIDIA:
http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us and if the problem exist, there is no other solution except to replace the Graphic Card.
