If you care to try it out, the Radeon 4670. Of course if your PSU is really aged and/or crappy then you could easily blow it. If you want to take a safer route then the next best thing would be an nVidia 9500GT.
Thanks for the info. Yes it is a Inspiron 530, not the 530S. Dell made a mistake on my order and put in the wrong graphic card. Thus my inquiry to ultimately buy my own card and install. I got stuck with the Integrated accelerator 3100. I need something better that won't blow up my system.

Thank you for the info. However, you made an interesting point I thought, If the system is old/aged I may have an issue but, this system that I want to upgrade is one I just bought 3 weeks ago and runs 2.93 ghz with 4gb of ram and (which I guess we already know has a slot for a PCI Express card. Does that change, in your opinon the ability of my system to handle this 4670 card you mention. And one last item, if my system is a 300 watt, and the card I buy requires a minimum of 300 watts, am I going to be overworking/overheating my system? Thanks for any info.
