Was the laptop running while you dropped it? If so it sounds like you've got data corruption. Happened to me once, had to actually replace the drive because it had been damaged.
Either way, the cause of that error is due to the computer being unable to load windows because it cannot find/read the files it needs to in order to boot windows.
with acers if u wana relaod the operating system u dont need the disk as long as someone hasnt put thier own version of windows on it.
to do it u press (alt + f10) repeatedly at start up and should take u to system restore, if not then ur hard drive is damaged n u need a new one. in which case u need to ask acer for new recovery disks at a price or buy windows at a price.
in future make ur recovery disks, if its an acer theres a program on the desktop which will let u run acer recovery management program and let u create ur own bootable windows disks. its very user friendly
