I have an IPAQ 1910 running wmp 8 and I use xp on my desktop with wmp
10. I just purchased and downloaded a few songs from Napster and
tried to sync them to my pocket pc. Here is a description of the
problem:

- If I try to sync to the storage card (256SD card) while it is in the
ppc using WMP on my desktop I get an "unkown error". If I put the SD
card in a card reader I can then sync it. I can also sync directly to
the PPC but I of course dont want to do that.

- Once I get the files onto the SD card or onto the PPC I try to play
the file that I purchased and I get the error message "The license for
this file cannot be found......" From some research it looks like
only WMP 9 for pocket pc handles license rights on purchased music.
Is that right? If so, how do I get WMP9 for the PPC? I have 8 on
there now.

Thanks in advance!!!!

I have a Ipaq 2210 running WMP 9 and I have the exact same problem and get
the same error message when I synchronize songs directly to a SD card in a
card reader. However when I synchronize the same songs with the SD card place
in the Ipaq the songs still don't play, but this time with an error message
saying that "A codec could not be found to play the song". Same result =
songs don't play, but with two different error messages.

I finally found some info on this problem. It is a known
problem and Microsoft is being very quiet about it.
