8500 GT

Would a crt monitor actually stop showing anything after a couple of days using the 8500Gt Nvidia graphics card
i was told to get a lcd but i am not sure because i wanted a HD4870

i'm not sure i understand what you're saying. i don't see how a video card would cause a monitor to stop working. you can use a 4870 with a crt monitor though. but really i have no idea why you would want to. companies don't even make crt's anymore. time for an upgrade.

i am saying that when i have the 8500Gt in it doesn't show anything but when i have my other graphics card(X1050) it shows

but i know i still need to upgrade
