Nothing wrong with your choices.
I'd give the Corsair 650TX $100 ($80 after $20 rebate) a serious look. It's actually more powerful (52Amps +12v) than the CM 650 (45Amps +12v) and is usually considered a higher quality PSU. Both have free shipping and 5 year warranties.
Maybe use the $40 save towards upgrading the RAM to 6GB?

To fix the links use the forum codes instead of HTML tags?

PSU change to 750w corsair or OCZ

Heatsink, Artic 7 power or the recommended Dark Knight S1283 with retention bracket, or the regualr s1283 with retention bracket.

Ram, Mushkin has a really nice triple channel (3x2gb) set, idk if its out of stock or not.

Not bad.. looking good, thats one pretty monitor aswell.

PC Power cooling and seasonic has some good psu's aswell but, that corsair should do the job.

showing that your running an i7 core and a gtx 260, its probably fine but, i like to see more wattage like 750w or 800w

Reply to fullmetall

650w is fine for that system. If you wanted to SLI later, I would want around 850w for 2 GTX 260's. The current setup you have probably won't draw more than 350w, but its good to have some headroom.

WD Caviar Black 640GB is a better drive, its faster and more reliable.

The Tempest is a good case, I'm not a fan of how it looks though. Look at the CoolerMaster 690 or Antec 900 for other good options.

Here is a much better kit of ram for the same price:

Go for this combo instead, the P6T is a better board IMO, it OC's better than the Gigabyte.

The Scythe Mugen 2 will cool almost as good if not as good as that V8, and its $25 cheaper.

Higher speeds yes, tighter timings yes, but, quality wise.. review wise on what other people have been seeing from this set that have it. idk..

Thanks everyone for the advices , I really appreciate it!!
What do you say about the 260GTX for crysis , i will able to run it in 1900X1200 with all setting very high and full filters and still getting a playble fps??? (like 20fps)

Thanks again..
Raz.

Reply to razro

Should do alright, but I would want more than 20FPS. I would go with the GTX 280 if you can afford it.

Thanks for the reply xthekidx , can you check for me please if you cant get in crysis more then 20fps when you push the setting to ultra high/very high and AA/AF maximum??
its very important for me to decide in which GPU i iwll buy 260GTX/285GTX.
by the way in what resolution are you play?? 1650X1050??

thanks man.
raz.

With this build it shouldn't be hard for a 260 to push crysis through the roof.

Reply to fullmetall

You can probably get 25FPS @1920x1200 or so with the 260 in crysis, I wouldn't say it will push it through the roof on very high details. It will be playable, but slower than most people would want. If you want smooth gaming at very high details you need to get the GTX 285. I play at 1440x900 and lag every once in a while in farcry 2 at all max settings.

wow.. dont see how you lag with it... i have a 4870, e8500, biostar tpower i45 p45, 800w kingwin psu, i get no lag what so ever.

I would save some money stick with the upper LGA775 vs the i7. I've not seen any benchmarks that warrent the cost of the chip, board, and memory. Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 Yorkfield 2.83GHz 12MB L2 Cache LGA 775 95W $279.99 from newegg. You can spend almost half as much on the board and memory and get a higher video card and/or setup for a sli which you can't get right now on the i7 boards.

Reply to mvautodunn

If he's going to want to spend money on an lga 775 then he'd be better off getting the Q9650..but, with the i7, 260 gtx,

here's and sli ready crossfire ready i7 compatible psu,

I would go w/ the i-7. The i-7 is new so not as many ppl have bench marked it and posted it yet. Don't put ur trust in just benchmarks cause it makes you a surf junky and it's based off SOMEONE ELSE'S research and finds. You want credible info then ask around and get personnel exp.

Reply to darkside_gamer7

Go to intel's website and other sites that talk on i-7 and the core 2 quads and not just Bench sites. Benchmarks are based on pre built systems and not yours.

Personal experience? Isn't that also SOMEONE ELSE's research? :non:
And can you explain why a forum dweller's testing would be more accurate than a review website's benchmarks?

"Benchmarks are based on pre built systems and not yours." How did you arrive at that remarkable conclusion?

If you're wanting to offer "credible info" you should be better informed yourself.

Reply to WR2

Yeah I would say for a monitor that size you need at least a GTX 280 or 285. And of course a GTX 295 would be best.

If he's going to SLI hopefully he can find a descent wattage psu that has 4x6pin connectors.

Reply to fullmetall

hm, well 600w-700w should do for sli.

corsair or pc power cooling..
