Hey TH,
I have a GTX 275, an Audigy sound card (took it from my last build) and an Asus p6t motherboard. If I put the GTX 275 in the first PCI-EX16 slot, I can't put the sound card in the PCIx1 slot.
Basically, is there any chance I could either: A. Put the sound card in a lower PCIEx16/x4 slot? B. Put the sound card in the PCIx1 slot and use the second PCIEx16 slot for my GPU?
Thanks guys, I'm still kinda a newbie (or a wannabe according to TH) at building my own computers :D.
:hello:

Unfortunately, on many motherboards (including yours IIRC), only the first PCIe x16 slot supports the GPU. If you still want to use the Audigy (no harm in using your mobo's onboard audio, you could consider using a PCI-slot ribbon. That will allow you to hook up your card, but tuck it in a place far away from your bulky GPU.
