How to install window xp to acer 4736z

Hello,
I have acer 4736z laptop, I can't find my restore cd, but i have my window xp but I can't install o/s it giving a blue screen, what should I do? and do I install windows xp?

what is the blue screen telling you? A blue screen during installation of windows is typically indicative of a hardware issue.

Change the SATA mode in BIOS to IDE mode and it now working. Thank you for input.
