Im not really great with graphics cards and I have been looking online but cannot find any real useful help on which one to buy... My store got in some **new** cards but im happy if I can atleast get one for serious gaming.
They are all ATI

Ati 3450
Ati 4370
Ati X1650
Ati 3650
Ati Hd 4650
Ati 4650
Ati Hd 4650 1g dual
Ati hd 3850

Im not sure on the prices at the moment, but I dont mind spending.
Also my Motherboard is DG31pr Intel "For the Intel core 2 Quad** and the intel Core 2 Duo Processors"
2gb ram
Duo Cpu E4600 2.40ghz 2.38ghz.
(even if my system might not be compatible, please let me know, but also tell which is still best)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

None of those cards really. If you can get it, at least get an ATI 4670. If you have a hefty power supply, step up to a 4830 for 90 bucks or so, or look at the 4850's. If you are in the US, try newegg.com. Great selection and awesome prices.

The minimum card you should get for gaming is a 9600GT. (you can max out most games like recent RTS, or play shooters like COD4 or Fallout3 on the
upper medium-high settings range with good fps)
(under $80)

If you want to play any of the more graphics intense recent games like Crysis, then get the 4830 or 8800/9800GT at the minimum.
(around $80-$100)

Get those as long as your PSU can handle it.

And I can agree with BlueScreen on this. The 4670 is a good choice for gaming if you don't have a great power supply and aren't sure if it can handle a high power card.

However, as far as the 9600gt, it's not bad. I have one myself. However, the way pricing is at this point, I don't even know if I'd mess with buying one. Rebates aren't always a sure thing, and if you look at just straight prices, the cheapest 9600gt is 85 on newegg right now some with free shipping. However you can grab the 4830 for about 90 plus shipping. So for say 10-12 bucks, grab the 4830.

However, I guess the question we really should have asked first, how big is your monitor and what resolution are you playing at?

Well I really wish I could, but atm not in the states. So I can really only purchase what the store has and trust me, ive searched just about every shop in the city, this shop manages to have half modern cards.
My resolution is 1024x800 16inch monitor. (I am upgrading my computer... Piece by piece)

But out of those which should is the best to get...

Well as for ur requirements, the best would be
1. ATI 4670 512 GDDR3...sure the price will be jus a little more than the 4650 1GB... go wit this if u dont have a gud Powersupply...
2. ATI 4830 if u have a gud 380W or above powersupply...

If you only have the choices in your list, I think the 3850 would be the best card.

Hello community

I recently bought a new pc, but i'm noticing regularly problems with my ATI driver. In eventvwr i can see that vista has some problems with it, and it has to restart the drivers to function.
Now i googled something up, and apparently it's a known problem/situation.

nvidia and ATI blame vista for the problem, and m$ says the same about their videocard drivers.

so, because this is the best place to ask hardware/software advice i want to ask what to do about this problem? because when playing games, i don't noticed problems, but only when i want to use windows mediacenter.

i read something about omega drivers, shutting down aero... but, what is the real helpful deal?

and are the omega drivers better than the regular ones?

more info:
vista home premium 32bit

catalyst driver 9.2 (are they better than 9.1? the problem didn't solve because i still see a ! warning sign in my taskbar against my clock when starting up mediacenter. BUT the bluescreen didn't appear.

maybe my graphicscard: asus ati 4850 512mb the 1 pcislot version

greetings, and hopefully someone can help me with the driver issues.

oh, and one last thing (off topic) which is the best place to sell my old pc?
