i am usingsata hardisc for a long time, its a 250 gb. i have a very unique problem.... my hard disc gets disconnected again and again .... runs properly for some days and then same problem.... i have to remove the sata and the power cable and connect again..... some time even the windows gets currupt coz of this .... do u have any idea y it happens and solution for it.....

Look for a BIOS upgrade for your motherboard at the manufactures web site.

Is the HD Sata I or II?

If your HD is Sata II, verify that the motherboards chipset supports Sata II Native Command Queuing/ Tagged Command Queuing.

You may want to also check the CMOS battery too.
