I am a senior citizen. I build pc's for friends, neighbors, and girlfriends. Most of them are senior citizens. They don't seem to care too much about pc components. They just want a system that works for email, family photos, and web browsing. They're idea of gaming is Solitaire. It doesn't take much to keep them happy. That being the case, I don't bother telling them about my own system.
I suppose you could tell them you process family photos or videos of family gatherings faster.
Tell them the Processor = engine
GPU = windsheild wipers (they help you see)
Motherboard = the chassis of the car (keeps everything together)
PSU = is the alternator (powers everything up)
I just made this up right now... Hope it helps, back then everybody should know what a car was made up of...

Yeah, Johnny. The geezers are pretty much just tool users.
I figure that I'll reach geezerdom in about 20 years.
Man when I reach Geezerdom, I want to do extreme things, like parachutting, or base jumping, hunt BEARS! (at least something that could kill a man)... Go out with a bang!
Who needs an analogy? Tell them your system has high end components which are designed to allow you to view animated objects for entertainment. Follow that up by saying that the average PC doesnt have the hardware needed to do this.
