Overclocking 1055T

Hi guys,

i made a new system about 1 week ago and i want to try and overclock my 1055T alittle, here r a few pics and specs.

CM Storm Scout Case
CM Silent Pro 700W Modular PSU
AMD Phenom II X6 1055T 2.8GHz Socket AM3 (Corsair H50 watercooling)
ASUS Crosshair III Formula Republic of Gamers Series AMD 790FX Socket AM3
Corsair 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 1600MHz XMS3 Memory Kit CL9(9-9-9-24)
Zotac GTX470 1280MB GDDR5
Kingston 64GB SSD SATA-II - Read = 200MB/sec, Write = 110MB/sec
DVD-RW SATA Optical Drive
2x Xilence Red Wing 120mm Quiet Fan for the side

atm without any overclocking my temps are:

idle: 31c
load: 39c

now ive only done alittle bit of reading on how to overclock, and im probly doing alot wrong when im trying because i left everything as auto in the bios but disabled turbo core tec. now ive only tried changing the bus speed from 200 to about 215 and even then i get BSOD and windows wont run.

ive made sure the dram doesnt go over 1600 and the HT link and NB doesnt go to far above 2000.

  1. i finally got abit further on the overclocking but i dont wanna go any further for the reason that from the image below as u can see ive got alittle further on overclocking the Bus speed but only after running prime95 for 5 mins the temp goes from 34c being idle to staying stable at around 56c. a whole 22c? is this right? is this because of prime95 stressing it that much? would it will increase by 22c after playing the likes of starcraft 2 or just cause 2 for a few hours?

is there a program abit less stressful on the cpu that makes the cpu work as it would playing games or transfering data as thats all really use the computer for.

  2. 56 is OK but high for the settings how do you have the H50 setup ie what fans going which way?
  3. i have both fans on the radiator on exaust because if they were to take air in i would only have the top 140mm as exaust which id guess isnt enough with all the air in take i have?
  4. I suspect that maybe the hot graphics card is heating the air before it gets to the H50. You could try totally revering your airflow so the top and back intake and the side exhausts its not ideal but its how the H50 is designed to run getting the cooler air. Its worth a try anyway.
  5. i cant seem to change my CPU voltage in the bios, its set to auto atm which it runs it at 1.300 but as soon as i cant it from auto to say 1.250 or 1.375 (cloest to 1.300 i can get) it fails to start the computer past dos and says overclock failed press F1 to run setup, as soon as i change it bacj to auto it runs fine again. should i not mess with the voltage anyway until i get the temp issue sorted?
