Overclocking makes my games slow

as i said on thread's title i think when i overclock my hd 4870 games get slower not faster my power supply is 650w and i don't know what the problem is. could you help

It could be getting too hot and thats causing it to slow itself down to compensate for the cooling issue. Run one of the benchmarks with it oced and then standard see what happens.

Install MSI Afterburner and monitor the heat. My card whould do this when overheating. If heat is the cause, you need to find a solution or you'll burn your card out.
