I know it's something about SSD's but what is a TRIM ?

Simply put, TRIM is a background application that helps the SSD "self-optimize" by releasing "deleted" blocks for re-use.

It is part of Windows 7 Operating System (as well as others, like Linux), but the SSD must support it. Almost all new models do.
