've recently installed a new 250gb sata hard disk on my old MSI K8N Neo3 motherboard. When i delete all the partitions(format) and create a new one , the maximum capacity that allow me to use in the windows format is 131gb instead of 250gb. I think my motherboard has a limit in BIOS and i have to unlock it but i can't find this option.
The hardrive software will get around this limit. My maxblast software will ask you to identify your windows version when you format a new drive and set up partitions. It will maximize your hardrive partition based on your windows program. If you don't have this setup program, you can download it for free off your hardrive manufacturer's website.
