Hi guys,
I am totally new to overclocking and in the process of building a new system.
I have ordered an AMD11 x4 965 cpu and Asus M4A785TD-V EVO motherboard.
Also 2 x 2gb modules of Corsair DDR3 1600mhz CL 9-9-9-24-Dimm240.
I did not realise that this board/CPU may need to be OC in order to run this memory and to be honest I have no idea what to do.
I have read some of the guides and it is still clear as mud to me.
I would very much appreciate an idiot guide as to what I need to do and any settings that I need to change.
I am not bothered at the moment about overclocking to improve performance but just enough to run this memory correctly.
Any advice appreciated.

You'll need to adjust the settings manually in the bios.
It won't run at specified speed until you adjust the dram voltage to at least beyond 1.6v.just keep increasing the voltage increments until it runs at 1600Mhz.
