Hard drive not recognized in BIOS

Hey Everyone,
I've been running a sata 320gb WD HD(has OS on it) and a 1tb WD HD for about a year now. Recently the 320gb does not show up in the bios when IDE drives are listed. Ive tried swapping cables between the 1tb and 320gb to see if it was a cable problem but to no luck. :( Whereever the 320gb is plugged in comes up blank. The 320gb hard drive has now been working sporadically, sometimes being recognized, mostly showing blank though. Any help would be awesome. :)

  1. I think that you have a dead drive, although it may be just resting before its final gasp. If you can get it to work remove any data on it and either return it under warranty or scrap it.
