This may have been asked somewhere before, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to search for anything. Sorry, but I'm new to the Tom's Forums.

My question is this. I am getting ready to build a new gaming rig, and the mobo I am getting has a 24 pin power connector. Now, I see a lot of power supplies with mobo power connectors of 20+4 pin configurations. Will this work on my 24 pin mobo or do I need to get a PS with a 24 pin connector? If it helps, the mobo I am getting is the ASUS M4A78T-E (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...).

A 20+4 pin psu power cable will fit perfectly in the 24 pin connector on your motherboard. No problem!

Awesome! I was looking at 24 pin power supplies and the prices were through the roof. This will help me save some money on this build!

Just don't buy too cheap. There are a lot of low quality power supplies of questionable value and performance.

Not keen on the Raidmax PSU, but nice build otherwise.

Raidmax isn't known for high quality power supplies.

Less power but a better brand is always the best way to buy a PSU.
