Black screen after changing resolution.

Hi:

Every time that I change the resolution in my monitor, the screen goes black and I have to manually restart my PC, in order to get a “response”. After I restart, the new resolution takes effect, or better said: it is in effect. I have the latest ATI drivers (ccc 9.2) installed, as well as for all my hardware (running Windows XP PRO SP3). Please, any feedback would be highly appreciated.
