yay, looks like amd is going to be forced to take another price drop to the 48** cards. But I dont think that many people would by this one with the 4870 and 4850 being so cheap.
Doubtful, since the 4870 already had a price drop last week. The retail for 4870 will be $150 soon, which is still cheaper than the 260
That is for the 512 MB versions.
I am looking forward to the price drop for the 1GB version. Do not doubt the power of competitive pricing.
ATI has always offered a cheaper solution than Nvidia, so I would not be surprised if they also lower their prices after Nvidia makes the move.
216=4870 1gig, so nVidia better keep dropping those prices to catch up. Good to see nVidia finally realizing this too.
