Interesting news, the problem is that Fuad Abazovic is making one big mistake in his statement.
"The biggest problem for Geforce GTX 285 2GB is the fact that the Radeon 4870 X2, that also has 2GB memory, sells for under $399, and it should end up faster than new 2GB GTX 285"
Yes the 4870 x2 has 2GB but is 1GB per GPU so only 1GB of Video RAM will be used and not the full 2GB as on the gtx 285 and hd4870 2GB.
He is comparing Apples with oranges. 4870 x2 is DUAL GPU and GTX285 is single GPU.
Now the question is is there any games out there that use over 1 GB of Video Ram, and how much will the 2GB make a difference from the 1GB at resolutions of 1900x1200 or 1920x1080. My guess... zero difference, except that you will have to shell out another $100 more.
It's a pure marketing gimmick. You might say is more "future proved" with 2GB than the 1GB cards, but than in a year or so DirectX 11 will be out and GPUs with Dx11 Hardware Support will be out, so how much of a future proving you'll be doing now by spending your money on this card? Not much. Unless you have the money and you can afford spending $600 per year on a graphic card.
