Hello,
I've installed multiple XP operating systems in my hard disk, first one is installed properly but the second one isn't, whenever I boot my PC it displays the two but I want to remove the second one from the boot menu without formatting the primary partition C. Can you suggest any solution???

I had a situation like yours and It was a nightmare.

My conclusion after my ordeal was that with windows XP being such a complicated OS capable of so many things and interacting with programs and files on so many levels, it is best to play it safe by backing up everything you want to retain on a separate drive and then do a clean install.

Just too many variables and no one but yourself even knows what else is on your system.

Some programs are integrated tightly with the OS. It's not worth the risk in my opinion.

Even if you pull it off, you may get inconsistencies later on which may have you wondering if it's due to conflicting commands from the deleted os.

My bet is you'll eventually do a clean install anyway for peace of mind.

The short cuts I tried to take were definitely not worth the spanking I got.
