Iphone + linksys BEFSR41 + remote = doesn't work

I got an app for my iphone 3gs for remote access to my XP Pro driven PC. I can't for the life of me get it to work. I guess I need to use the IP address for the router, which I did, but no luck. I have checked the allow remote access under Security and have a user ID with a passwrod set up.

I checked my port with canyouseeme.org and it says it cannot see service on the port. Does that mean the port is not open?

Do I need to get into my router and set it up differently? Under the iphone app docs it says that if I'm using the Edge network my IP address needs to be the router IP address... which I have from canyouseeme.org's website.

Any info would be helpful.
