No problems for me either. Try the IP address for google: http://74.125.67.100/ If you can reach it via the IP address but the normal URL: http://www.google.com/ isn't working it is indeed a DNS problem.
You could always use the Advanced TCP/IP settings through the Internet Protocol options of your broadband connection settings.
You can append several extra top level DNS address beyond QWest normal DNS IP addresses. That can help you bypass any QWest hiccups.

If I have to do *** like that, why am I paying these a$$holes $50/month?
I expect to have to do it when Im getting payed. When its the other way around, the ISP is gonna hear about it.
I expect rare DNS problems (nothing works 100% of the time), but losing Google's record is asking for the apocalypse on your phone lines as confused and angry customers call when they can't use the internets.
Heheheh, case in point, I just watched 'Robin Hood : Men in Tights' and got curious why the credits were in the order they were. Only got 2 actors deep before Google disapeared.
You'll spend more time bitching about the problem than it would take to fix it.
But it is your time and you might end up feeling better. (at least till the next time it happens)
Besides my ISPs usual two DNS servers I append a top level root server from the academic community, one from the government, another from a telecom and a 4th from ICANN.
