Best way to apply thermal compound??

i wanna apply tuniq tx-3 but what is the best way to apply this thermal compund my processor is i5 750 and my heatsink is cm hyper tx3???

Under applying hammers performance.

Perfect is hard to get and nobody wants to dismount their cooler to check if they have a perfect application.

In my experience over applying TIM is the best way to do it since most of the extra would squeeze out the side if you have a tightly mounted cooler (not crappy intel push pins) So the performance is more or less the same and you don't have to double check or question your application.
