Hey everyone,
I bought some new parts for my computer the other day. When i got home from the store i emediately started to assemble them. When i was finished i had some troubles getting it to work. When i pushed the power button the fans started to spin but i didn't get communication between my graphic card and my monitor.

On the backside of my graphic card there's two LEDs, both lit up and started to blink so did the small HDD LED on the front of my case(chassi).

My guesses are that there might be something wrong with my MB. I've tried to get it working for four days now, and been searching all over google for an answer but it seems that many people has the same problem but havn't been able to solve it :x

My speccs are:
Motherboard - Gigabyte MA790XT-UD4P
Graphic card - ASUS RADEON HD4850 512MB
RAM memory - Kingston ValueRAM DDR3 PC10600 1333MHz 2GB
Power supply - Corsair CMPSU-750TXEU 750W

I've tried/checked everything in that guide. I even placed to MB with graph + RAM installed on a table just so i could check if the case was short circuiting the motherboard or something.

I got no idea how to go from here. Maybe it's something wrong with my parts?

i got one of does lying around here at home, do you maybe know where i can find the error codes? i looked in the manual and didn't find them there neither on the website :x

Okey, i installed one of those speakers that you said i needed. But when i flipped the switch and the computer started i didn't get any sounds. I've now read the manual very carefully and havn't found anything useful in there. Does anyone know what to do next?

Have you checked to make sure you didn't jar loose any of the connections ? Push in all your wires and cables. A loose or unplugged cable or wire or SATA connector will do this. You said no communication with your monitor... ( no bios screen ) ... make sure the hard drives' wiring is pushed in. If you have a floppy drive, check that too.

If you are truly stuck, take all the parts out of the case. Install just the CPU and HSF, the case speaker (you need to make sure it works), the main and CPU power plugs, and the power switch.

When you turn on the computer, the PSU fan should spin, and you should hear a continuous series of long (about 3 seconds) beeps indicating that you do not have any memory installed.

If you do not hear anything, the PSU, motherboard, or CPU is bad. At this point, about the only thing you can really do is substitute known good parts to test with.

LOL, I didn't want to scare him. I had that problem 3 weeks ago on a machine. It was the processor.

After installing the speaker and powered up the computer, nothing happend. Didn't got a sound and all was like before, all the fans was spinning and the 2 LED's on the back of my grapfic card was blinking.

swifty_morgan, what did you do to solve it? bought a new processor?

It does sound as if it's either the MB or processor at this point. Take out the GPU and the RAM and see if you get a beep then.

Actually I did both. My 6850 couldn't take the strain. It was the processor but I canned my p35 board for an XFX 750sli board. Was time for an upgrade on that machine.

Tried it now, didn't happen anything. The fans was spinning but no sound. I've check the polarities on the speaker so it's not a problem about that.

If you have really followed the checklist and done the rest, then it pretty much has to be one of those. remove the heatsink and CPU and get a replacement board, as that is the more likely of the two.
