Hello,
I'm going to buy a new graphic card, mainly for games, and I have to choose one of these cards:

1. Gigabyte/Sapphire 4870 512MB.
2. Inno3d 260GTX core 192.

Who is better?

thanks!

I have the same price for 4870 or inno3d 260GTX core 192.
I have to choose one of these 2 cards.
Now my resolution is 1280X1024.
What card do you recommend? (only one of these).
when the 4890 is coming?
what will be it's price?

What Video card are you using now? And what's your framerate like in the games you play?

Reason i ask is your monitor is low resolution and any card almost 2 generations old can play all the modern games at that resolution.

I'm currently running a 8800gts 512mb, about 2 generations old, and my framerates are more the acceptable at 1680x1050. I also had a 1920x1200 monitor for a bit and has almost no difference in framerates for the games i played. Dead Space, World of Warcraft mainly.

I'm not from America, and in my country I have the same price for these cards.
so the 4870 512MB is better than 216GTX core 192?
Now I sold my 8800GTS 640MB and I have to choose one of these cards.
What are you recommend?

At the resolution you have currently, all of your selections are extreme overkill. (Good on-board graphics would almost suffice.) Let your pocket decide.

4890, release is unknown and price unknown.

I want to buy the best graphic card for my money, and the best I can buy is 4870.
There is a difference between 4870 to 4850, and 260 core 192?
Do you recommend me to buy the 4870 definitely?

Yeah go for it!
I got the HIS hd4870 1GB currently running it at 790MHZ max load GPU temp 68C. It definitely out performs the gtx216

This is a chart of different cards benchmarks you can see that the HD4870 512MB rates the same as the 260GTX 216 which is faster than the core 192.
http://www.guru3d.com/category/vga_charts_crysis/

Now if you click on the link bellow you can see the performance increase if you get the hd4870 1GB vs the hd4870 512MB
http://xtreview.com/addcomment-id-6486-view-HD-4870-512-vs-1Gb-and-GTX-260-Vs-core-216.html

so if you play at resolutions of 1920x1080 or higher the hd4870 1GB card is a better and cheaper solution

Cheers
