Sooooo.... My problem stems from the fact that I have 1066 DDR2 memory only running at 800. Can anyone tell why that is? Here are my specs:

AMD Phenom II X4 940
MA790GP-UD4H Gigabyte motherboard
Ballistix 1g 1066 x4 (4 gigs of ram)
Nvidia EVGA 285
Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit

Thats because you have four memory modules. AM2+ processors support only one module per channel at 1066, so 2x2gb will run at 1066 but 4x1gb will only run at 800. You can find that info in your mobos QVL on gigabyte website.
